Where’s the App?
Since UberSmartPhone (USP) is entirely a Web Based Cloud Service, it does not require an App.
Web Based Cloud Service
A web based cloud service is accessed using a URL link. In the case of UberSmartPhone (USP), the main page is named dialer. Users typically bookmark the dialer to their smart phone’s home screen for convenient single click access.
UberSmartPhone (USP) supports the Safari, Firefox, or Chrome browsers. These browsers protect all access with SSL encryption. When the user opens the dialer, snippets of programming code are embedded in the web content to facilitate service delivery. The user activates the code snippets by clicking a button such as DIAL or SEND.
Cannot Access Information on Your Phone
A smart phone browser does not provide access to information stored on the smart phone. Therefore the UberSmartPhone (USP) cloud based web service cannot access the native contact book, call log, text/picture messages, photos, or videos. The service can only access to the photos that are specifically uploaded by the user when sending a picture message through the system.
The web based cloud service uses browser cookies. These cookies are needed for UberSmartPhone (USP) to operate. The user can delete the cookies when the service is not being used.
Blocked CallerID is not Supported
The smart phone is required to emit a callerID when making an outbound call or sending a text/picture message. As a consequence smart phones with a blocked or unknown callerID are not supported.
